I had the honour of participating as a judge at this event, and the experience was nothing short of delightful. From playful obstacle courses to a glamorous beauty contest where celebrity guests Vivien Mádai, Éva Szentesi and Henry Kettner lent their judging skills, the day was filled with laughter, tail wags and connection.Im grateful for Alexandra Trefán-Török and Born To Be corgis for inviting me to this wonderful family event!
What struck me most was the free-spirited character of each corgi: boisterous, intelligent, and utterly charming according to the organisers’ words. Even RTL Fokusz was there, and made a lovely riport about our beloved corgis! But it wasn’t just about the dogs—it was about the people who love them, the communities that form around shared passion, and the friendships forged between humans and their four-legged companions.
I spent the afternoon speaking with numerous experienced owners and hopeful future corgi-keepers. Their dedication, warmth and excitement were contagious. Stories ranged from happy adoption tales to first-time puppy plans, all underscored by the same message: these dogs bring joy, laughter and genuine companionship.
As the sun dipped and the meet-up drew to a close, there remained a powerful sense of celebration—not just of a breed, but of connection, community, and the little wonders that brighten our days. The corgis may have been the stars, but the friendships, the smiles and the shared moments were the true highlight.
